For her contributions to the field of health and wellness as a seasoned mindful movement educator and integrative wellness thought leader, Stacy was honored as the 2021 IDEA World Health & Fitness Instructor of the Year, a prestigious award recognizing superior instructional abilities and positive influence within the global wellness industry.
Stacy is recognized for her health and wellness coaching, yoga and mindfulness practices, positive psychology interventions, culinary whole food, plant-based medicine in the treatment of various chronic disease and conditions.
Her specialty is coaching women – no matter what their age or ability – how to have a body they love and a peaceful mind without dieting or excessive exercise. With 35 years of teaching, she shares how to get rid of the mirrors and judgment of how you look, to connect to your breath and to work the body intelligently, holistically with balance and feeling so you can stress less and accomplish more.
Stacy’s yoga journey began in the lineage of T. Krishnamycharia and she studied with some of the most renowned teachers in the world. Her cutting-edge classes are unique, as she uses a variety of techniques and tools both ancient and modern for accessing and sustaining mental, emotional, and physical well-being. She has taught tens of thousands of students and mentored several hundred teachers. In addition, she is a professor of Yoga Studies at Miracosta College Kinesiology, Health and Nutrition Program.
Along with her knowledge, a daily practice of yoga, meditation, and passion for helping others, she shares her education and experience around the world. A gifted and inspirational teacher, Stacy has adopted a more balanced approach of self-acceptance and moderation and realized that being healthy is not defined by the number of hours you work out or the number of calories you eat, but by the joy and fullness of your life physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
